Battle of the Bands
Information Form

 

Please fill out the information form below of your interest in being in the "battle of the bands" competition at the Morenci Town & Country Festival on Friday June 25th, 2010, starting at 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. with winners announced following the competition.  With 9 bands maximum in competition with a $100 entry fee required for each band with 2 (two) winners, that will each split 50% of the entry fee total collected.   Each winning band will also get the honor to play on Saturday on stage at different time slots.    The 2 (two) winners of the "Battle of the Bands"  will be determined from two methods this year.  First winner will be determined by the audience voting with tickets given them as they enter the arena, like the last two years.  The second winner will be determined by 3 (three) judges, with musical backgrounds, that will make their decision totally on musical talents, without any bias.  It is conceivably possible that one band could take both wins.  Every band is encouraged to bring as many of their fans as possible, since one winner will be determined from the popular vote.  But if you are the best musicians then you will have that chance also from the judges vote. This should address the concern from the past, that out of town bands were at a disadvantage and the best musicians did not necessarily win.   This form will be used for information purposes only and is not considered a contract agreement between you and the Town & Country Festival "Battle of the Bands" staff.  By filling out this form we will keep you up on any information about the battle of the bands via e-mail and or phone contact.   At least one member of each band will meet with a "Battle of the Bands" representative to discuss details, collect entry fee and sign a contract agreement.  All bands are encouraged to seek sponsorship to cover their $100 entry fee, but is not required.  Sponsors will be recognized in media spots as well as when the band is introduced during the battle.  Also each sponsor will be aloud to place their banner behind their band on the fence with the bands banner (banner size maximum 6 ft. width X 3 ft. height).
